Gather on at UCBC since 2010. At UCBC, the members of AYLF are staff and students. They meet every Thursday from 1pm to 2pm to share around a leadership model based on Christ. Statistics have revealed that more than 75% of student presidents within UCBC come from AYLF or have attended AYLF sessions. This group organizes various activities: conferences, trainings, forum, and other charitable activities.
Women’s voices exists since 2013, at Congo Initiative Universite Chretienne Bilingue du Congo.
There is evidence that women have many potentialities that can influence the positive change of a city, a nation or even the world. But that requires women to be conviced of it, and get to work.
We are located at the campus of UCBC, and our members include student and staff.
The group exists to extend the transformation and prepare women Leaders ready to face all the challenges of the society.
Women’s voices emerged to help women:
- Have confidence in themselves
- Have influence in their communities
- And discover their identities as women in Christ.
As part of the TUSHIRIKI WOTE Peacebuilding through Economic Strengthening and Women's Participation project, "International Alert" has set up university dialogue groups in some institutions in Beni, Goma, Bukavu and Kinshasa for gathering 2 hours a week, twice a month. They share about several themes such as gender and parity, participation, issues of rights and citizenship, elections, leadership.The group "Together For Peace" consists of 30 students including 18 girls and 12 boys chosen on several criteria of responsibilities.
Launched in 2014, Together for Peace's focus is: "economic empowerment of women and women's leadership",Meetings are organized 3 times a month (including 1 day with SOFEPADI, 1 other day with CAF and the last day with students only)
