The UCBC library is an academic library that works under the supervision of the academic dean for research and the chief librarian. The library is an academic department with a collection of print and electronic resources that give access to scholarly information. It offers a space for reading or studying with resources like books, journals, periodicals, videos and the like.
Mission
The mission of the UCBC library is develop organize and avail scholarly information in print or nonprint that respond to the academic needs of the university and the wider-community.
Goals
Since UCBC as a university wants to move away from the pedagogy of ‘transmitting of information to students’ to ‘constructing knowledge with students’, the library assigns itself the following goals:

Promote the use of the library by teachers, students and the local community

To provide assistance/instruction to users to locate, retrieve and use resource

Supporting bilingualism by providing resources in English and French
4
Encourage a campus-wide reading culture, resulting in information literary and life-long learning

The UCBC Library works in partnership with institutions working to promote the reading culture, such as:

- Library books used in the library should be returned to librarian and should not be re-shelved by user.

- Do not call or respond to call in the library. Keep your phone on silent in the library.
